I'm an advocate of abortion, albeit not a front-liner, because I do have one ground rule here. This is my appeasement gene kicking in. Check it out:

Abortion should be legal in all cases EXCEPT being used as a contraceptive.

Now, before you say, "But Jonathan, that means if a guy knocks up a girl, she shouldn't get an abortion.", here me out.

The following is a collection of situations to help clarify what I mean by abortion not being used as a contraceptive:

Abortion is legal.

Abortion is legal.

  • Guy knocks up girl during unprotected sex.
Have fun taking care of that kid.

  • Second and Third Trimester Abortions?
Legal, though they are kind of gruesome if you've read about them.

Basically, if you're going to have sex, use some god damn protection. Abortion is a last resort, not a reason to not sacrifice a little pleasure. In fact, abortions cost much more than the pill and a condom COMBINED.

Of course, this is all personal opinion and not politically stable.

It's tricky trying to please everyone.

When it comes down to it, if it doesn't affect us, why bother about it?
