My Philosophical Arguments For Abortion

Argument For Abortion

(1) Parents are responsible for their child from birth to the age of 16-18.

(2) If (1), then parents may have to make life-altering decisions for their child.

(3) If (2), then the parents should be obligated to make life-altering decisions for their child from its conception to its birth.

(4) If (3), then the parents have the right to abort the fetus.

Therefore, the parents have the right to abort the fetus.

Now, suppose those pro-lifers out there in the world believe a fetus has rights. Well, think again:


Argument Against Fetus' Rights

(1) Humans are born with natural rights (right to live, choose, etc.).

(2) A fetus is a human that is not yet born.

(3) If (1) and (2), then a fetus has no rights.

Therefore, a fetus has no rights.
